Purchased for my husband, who freezes all the time. His current coat is a J. Whistler that serves its purpose but is starting to look unsightly after 8 years. Gave the new coat to him for Valentine's Day. He really likes it. Lots of pockets. Definite plus for him. The only downside, at first glance, is the hood doesn't have any draw string or snaps to make it snug.

This a warm, well-designed heavy parka that should take you through the coldest days of winter. It’s not the snazziest coat but it definitely gets the job done and is a great value. However, a couple of areas in need of improvement to get it to 5 stars: 1. Make the zipper larger; it’s tough for us old folks to find the zipper connection in this long a coat. 2. Put a drawcord on the hood to hold it down when the wind is howling. Optional: make the hood detachable. Love all the pockets.
