The production date on the tongue shows 08/22. Today's date is 8/10/2023. My wife purchased these in December from Kohl's or Target. I don't care about the store because Dockers owns this. I broke them in during the spring ahead of mowing season. Note, I have 2.5 acres to mow so I ride a tractor...I don't push mow. So after 5-6 months of use the soles have split in multiple places on both shoes. The shoe itself looks great just the soles have failed rendering them useless. This surprised me for a quality name brand so I started researching. Turns out there are tons of complaints and pictures of the exact same thing on multiple Dockers shoe styles?? Wish I had done my research before buying. I am going to throw these out. As I stated I am not going to dig up a receipt and return them to a store that has nothing to do with the problem. There are too many similar claims out there for this to be a "user error". Dockers owns this design/material flaw. The question is, will Dockers do anything to address their concerns. Not holding my breath.

Unlike previous purchases of this shoe, the leather appears cheap, and the shoe is so stiff it will take weeks to fully soften enough to feel comfortable to wear regularly.

Solid quality, it's unusual how much difference there is between the same shoes of different colors. I have the same model in black and while both are good, there are some differences. The brown model is somewhat stiffer and requires more break-in than the black.
