Absolutely the worst pair of boat shoes I ever owned. Sole became soft and punctured at the heel wearing out within 5 months of light use. Shocked since they are DOCKERS...which never happened before.

I bought this few weeks ago for my vacation and the very first day in my flight I noticed the thread on one pair is coming loose and few days into the trip I was forced to cut the loose piece of thread few times to avoid embarrassment of wearing these shoes. Mind you this was in replacement of previous pair which had the laces broken in few pieces so a minimum credit was given online forging me to get the same shoes Shaun but only to find this problem. Very poor craftsmanship indeed.

I made two separate purchases over a period of a year and a half of the Dockers Vargas Boat shoes. In both cases they developed a tear at the point where the sewing around the side/exposed seam, where the threading meets the additional leather just behind the widest part of your foot. Further described and the "box seem" where the two layers of leather meet together. This seems to be a flaw in manufacturing process where that area needs additional sewing or something further holding the seam together. They are nice looking shoes and pretty comfortable, but to have both pairs split and the "box seam" after a short period is very dissapointing
